What is a CAPCHA code?

This code is use to provide a modest level of security. Before the requested action can take place the user must enter a matching value to that found in the image to the right. The image is designed to be difficult for automated processes to read. Although it is not entirely secure, it can keep simple minded web robots from flooding SCK with useless or even hostile data.

What if I get can't read the code?

If you are visually impaired, I am afraid I do not currently have a solution. I am trying hard to strike a balance between security and usability. If I find a better solution for stopping malicious robots from attacking our web site, I will implement it.

If you are not visually impaired but just can not make out what the code is, simply press the get new code button until you see a code that you can read.

What if I enter the wrong code?

In the event that an incorrect code is entered, the desired action will not take place. You may retry the action (I have tried hard to make it such that you will not need to re-enter any data). The site administrator will also receive an email about the failed attempt. This is done so that the administrator can filter out robotic attacks and prevent abusers from further access to the web site.
